The seed for the geranium is planted in the ground. In order for us to see the plant and the beautiful flower, the seed must die/be used up (or at least be transformed into something that it was not before). The apple seed is placed in the ground. The seed must die/be used up to bring the tree. The tree bears the fruit of the apple. However, in order to have another tree to bear more fruit, the apple must die to produce the seed; a cycle of life, death and new life.

I’ve been on quite a journey. I stepped out of a ministry last year because I felt God calling me to move away from ministry for a season. This was painful and has been difficult to embrace; almost a feeling of experiencing a death. As I drove to the church building on Saturday afternoon I was overcome with emotion and just wept while I drove. You see, God has placed me back in the same area of ministry in which my heart was created to be; a place where I can soar with my Creator. It’s not in the same capacity, and may never be, but I’m ok with that because I am so in love with my God and trust His timing in all things.

God brings life out of death. He made all things new by dying and it is that ultimate example that encourages me to trust that in the times of drought, loneliness, pain and struggle ~ He will make all things new. What an awesome God we serve…

If you haven’t scene this video set to the song “New Again” by Brad Paisley and Sara Evans – it is worth it - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J7wEa8YTGhM

The clips are from the Passion movie and can be a little graphic…

For the first time in 30 yrs...I can honestly say that His death and His resurrection mean something so priceless/precious to me. He is risen!!! My heart is so full of emotion as this is the first year I have ever been truly touched by His sacrificial gift. Thanks for sharing your words and pics!!

I woke up this morning and welcomed Easter...my first thought being "Christ has risen!...what an amazing gift of starting over." Then I came here.
I can't describe the feelings that came over me as I read this entry and my eyes fell on the pictures. I don't know if this makes sense, but somehow I felt a sense of calm.
