So recently I’ve been a bit taken by the perceptual mechanisms that Adam and Eve might have had that we do not. We see in Genesis 2 that there were trees in the garden (I know what those look like) and these trees had things like knowledge and life growing on the branches (I have NO IDEA what those things look like!).
Yesterday we celebrated something which, at the time of the actual event, was not celebrated but mourned. The death of Jesus was, to most, a shocking and devastating end to a soaring hope. All the faith that His followers put in Him collapsed to the sound of a clanging hammer.
The Journey resumes, and perhaps the best way to get us back to the trail is to give a few examples.

Keep in mind, the obvious things are usually not the way out. Lust is often not about sex. Anger is usually not about the person toward whom you feel angry. Fear is often a smokescreen.
The way in is the way out!! I have spent so much time developing the nature of the trap because the trap is based on our natural propensities, and therefore directly connected to how we need to get out of the trap.
