Who are you…Really?

How do you even go about answering a question like this?  Who are you?  What data do you gather and examine to arrive at this conclusion?  On the surface, the question almost seems silly, but it is in many ways the most important question you can ask.  Second only to the question, “Who is God?”  And these two questions, “Who are you”, and “Who is God?” are inextricably connected.

It is this connection, the fact that we are created in the image of God, that has provoked the Great War over the first question; “who are you?”.  How you answer that question directly reflects your understanding, your heart level beliefs about God.

First, who you are, is an extension of who God is.  He put His image in you.  Be careful; if you are disconnected from Him something changes.  You can only be His extension if you are connected to Him.  What is in you, if you are separate from Him is…, well…, not-him.   Not-him, is an empty, lifeless existence, that leads to all kinds of feelings, and experiences.  Not-him is so empty that it leads humans to search for anything that even hints that it might fill this emptiness.   It is this search that leads so many to eventual self-destruction.

The good news is, when connected to Him, the opposite of not-him, is In-HimIn-Him we find that we were created with greater purpose and power than we can currently imagine.  But don’t let that stop you from imagining.  Imagine Big….Imagine fiercely…It is still bigger, but have fun imagining.

It is this polarity…not-him, versus In-Him, that leads to the Great War.  Someone (could it be…Satan) wants you to believe less about God, so He attacks your most accurate picture of God; you-in-Him.  The war against your beauty, the war against your greatness, the war against your power, has been raging since before you were born.  Don’t let it scare you.  You will win.  How do I know?  Because HE will win.  Hang on tight, listen to The Source.  Connect. Connect again.  Stay connected.  You will win.

For more on these thoughts, watch this page, and watch for my book, which should be out sometime this summer.  He will win.  So will you.
