Let's talk about AI-, no, not Artificial Intelligence, I want to discuss Actual Intelligence.
Classically defined, intelligence is the ability to adapt, to learn and understand, to reason and problem solve and to "think abstractly." By this definition, I am certain that computers can perform most, if not all of these functions.
And even by this definition, most humans are far more intelligent than they perceive themselves to be.
Because people view themselves through the lenses of trauma, family experiences, modern "education" and more, they often perceive themselves to have limitations that they do not actually have. However perception becomes experience and experience is what most people call "true".
So a man or woman's performance in the world is often not an expression of intelligence...it is far more often an expression of sense-of-self. Your actual capacity is certainly far greater than your sense of self. But the second governs the first.
Actual Intelligence is the true beauty of the human race.
Beyond reason, learning, reasoning etc. are processes that so stretch beyond the capacity of a machine that they are reserved for humanity only. Sadly, being human doesn't guarantee that you will experience these things either. If your sense of self remains frozen in time, or you live your life unconscious, the power and beauty of your humanity lie dormant and therefore outside of your experience.
Mozart wrote music that had never been conceptualized before. The great philosophers imagined a world outside the human sensory panel. Michelangelo created beauty and light out of a darkened culture. Christiaan Huygens first imagined an engine driven by pistons and some type of combustible material and Carl Jung imagined his way into a deep understanding of the human psyche.
Actual Intelligence is the intersection between human capacity, integrated experiences and the divine breath.
What makes us different and ultimately unlimited isn't intellectual capacity or volitional drive. What makes us different is that we are connected to a consciousness outside of our experienced humanity.
We can reach the unseen and conceptualize that which has not yet materialized. Mozart wrote from crossing the streams of musical knowledge and divine inspiration.
Things that do not yet exist in the material world await the man or woman willing to dream it into existence.
Actual Intelligence is not simply the integration of what already is, it is the capacity to see with the eyes of the heart that which is not yet.
Learn to overcome the limitations you believe you have. You are more brilliant than you yet know.
Learn to tap into the Divine, you are created in the image of a Creator.
